Sales Associate
About the role
As a Sales Associate at Island Perfumes, you will be the welcoming face of our brand and the ultimate guide for our customers' fragrance journeys. You will do more than just sell perfumes; you will use storytelling to craft personalized scent experiences, build lasting client relationships, and ensure our boutique remains a pristine, inviting space. Beyond the shop floor, you will also play a crucial part in our online growth by seamlessly managing daily eCommerce orders and coordinating both local and international deliveries. Responsibilities
Customer Experience & Sales
- Personalized Service: Greet customers, understand their needs, and guide them through our collections using storytelling and expert fragrance knowledge.
- Sales & Gifting: Drive sales targets through effective upselling. Curate tailored recommendations for personal, high-end, and corporate gifting budgets.
- Clienteling: Build long-term relationships by proactively reaching out to clients about new fragrance launches and limited editions.
- Loyalty Management: Promote the loyalty program and ensure accurate issuance and redemption of points.
eCommerce & Digital Support
- Order Fulfillment: Accurately prepare, pack, and process daily online orders, ensuring inventory is synced across all eCommerce platforms.
- Logistics Coordination: Work closely with local couriers and international partners to ensure timely, seamless deliveries.
- Customer Inquiries: Promptly and professionally respond to customer questions across social media, help desk tickets, and emails.
Retail Operations & Inventory
- Stock Management: Track daily product availability, prepare restock lists, and assist the team with monthly store-wide stock audits.
- Daily Procedures: Execute comprehensive opening and closing tasks, including store setup, organization, and end-of-day settlement procedures.
- Supply Upkeep: Ensure operational and packaging supplies (such as tester strips, branded bags, and ribbons) are consistently stocked
Visual Merchandising
- Boutique Standards: Carry out daily cleaning to maintain a pristine, organized, and visually appealing environment.
- Display Care: Conduct regular display resets and ensure all tester bottles are clean, full, and perfectly positioned.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Minimum GCE O' Level completion with at least 4 passes, including English, Mathematics, and Dhivehi. Previous experience in a relevant field will be considered an added advantage (a plus).
- Language Skills: Excellent written and conversational English and Dhivehi to comfortably assist both local and international clients.
- Attributes: Highly proactive, reliable, and adaptable with exceptional attention to detail.
- Passion: A genuine interest in the world of fragrances, perfumes, and luxury retail.
Schedule: 6 days a week | 8 hours a day (Shift basis).

- Educational Certificates: Copies of acquired educational credentials. (accredited and attested)
- Work Experience Documentation: Letters or documents issued by previous employers to verify work experience.
- Police Report: Must be valid and not older than 4 months.
Salary
Mvr 8,000.00 - 13,000.00
